Seasoned physician executive and clinical informatics leader joins Ambience to help health systems move from AI point solutions to enterprise-wide clinical transformation
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — April 23, 2026 — Ambience Healthcare, the leading AI platform for clinical documentation and revenue integrity, today announced the appointment of Michael Han, MD, MBA as Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In this role, Dr. Han will lead Ambience's clinical strategy as the company continues to expand beyond ambient documentation into a broader system of intelligence designed to help health systems apply AI to rethink clinical workflow, revenue integrity, and operational performance at scale.
This appointment marks a strategic milestone for Ambience as the company deepens its partnerships with leading health systems and academic medical centers to build the next generation of AI-powered clinical infrastructure.

Dr. Han joins Ambience at a pivotal moment for the company, following the unveiling of its multi-year platform roadmap at the inaugural Apex Summit. As CMO, Dr. Han will partner with clinical, product, and commercial teams to shape how Ambience’s solutions are brought to market, ensure customers achieve meaningful clinical outcomes, and guide product development to stay grounded in the needs of clinicians. This reflects Ambience’s commitment to building technology that is not only technically sound, but clinically meaningful.

Dr. Han brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of clinical care, physician leadership, and health IT.
Most recently, he served as Enterprise Chief Medical Information Officer at MultiCare Health System, where he led clinical informatics, EHR strategy, and enterprise application governance across a large integrated delivery network. Prior to MultiCare, he served as a surgical provider informaticist at Providence and held multiple leadership roles at Pacific Medical Centers, including Chief Medical Information Officer and Chief of Surgery. Dr. Han is board certified in both urology and clinical informatics and has been recognized as a top urologist in both the Seattle and Washington, DC metropolitan areas.
Dr. Han earned an A.B. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Brown University, received his medical degree from the University of Michigan, completed his residency in urology at The George Washington University School of Medicine, and earned his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
